Crossing The Huffington Post Picket Line

The Diva doesn't know why it's a big deal that HuffPo has surpassed the NY Times in web traffic for the first time.

HuffPo has been declining over the past year. They further cimented their "past the best-before date" status when Arianna Huffington sold her baby to the Enemy AOL-Time Warner.

Now the HuffPo has even more smut news, like what ever the hell Kim Kardashian is up to or which celeb was caught on tape with cocaine residue on her nose. Like I care.

If those hits contribute to HuffPo's "reign", is that something they should brag about?

Lately you'll notice several news items on HuffPo have the "AOL" logo on it. That's when you know it's been dumbed down for mass consumption, like the Lebanese-owned Pho Soup restaurant in the suburbs that took all the spice OUT of the food to make it flavourless. Waste of flippin' time? You betcha.

The NY Times, on the other hand, still has stature and respect. Something you can't buy out #TimeWarnerSux.

It's like that year in the mid 90s when the Jerry Springer Show outshown Oprah Winfrey in the TV ratings. That fad did not last and neither will this HuffPo blimp.
