Outremont LPC Nomination: a total sham

This is for all the Moonies who said they should "let democracy determine the Outremont Nomination race".

Well, the LPC "democracy" has frozen out the other candidate, the one running against Martin "I've got friends in high places" Cauchon.

Is this the democracy the Moonies accused Denis Coderre of obstructing?

(roll my eyes)

Seems like Cauchon's friends have succeeded in intimidating and freezing out his opponent in the nomination race. Reading the tactics utilized in this end, I wondered if I was reading about the "Faboulous 14"? Nope. It's the LPC-Q, which is close to the Rosedale Gang.

Could this be Denis Coderre's raison d'etre in the first place? Getting rid of the OBC and their strong arm tactics to leave room for new faces and new ways of doing business?

Now he's gone and Iggy replaced the spectre of new blood with dead and muddy waters. Bleurk!

There goes the neighbourhood!

Well, to be realistic, it was a good choice to override Coderre and Put Cauchon in Outremont. Right now, the Liberals need all they can get, especially now, when a Harpercon majority is looming. Mulcair is extremely popular and the only one who stands a chance of unseating him is Cauchon, the former MP who held the seat for 11 years.
Le Prohon is taking the more winnable Jeanne Le Ber.
Coderre had his temper tantrum. Couldn't stand the competition for liberal leadership. Cauchon stands a better chance at winning that and perhaps some day be PM than Coderre ever does.

CK,
thanks for the comment, tho I disagree with almost everything you wrote. :-)
It seems that Cauchon himself "couldn't stand the competition for" nomination.

Both Cauchon and Coderre were not going to be PM anyways, so it is a moot point.

I don't believe everyone should become a doormat for self-important OBC members to cake walk to any post.

Remember what coronation did for PM PMartin's career.

"Right now, the Liberals need all they can get, especially now, when a Harpercon majority is looming."

You do know that the Liberals winning an NDP seat will not prevent a Harper Majority don't you? This is the Liberal line a vote for the NDP is a vote for Harper. At least one party is standing up to Harper on Climate change, wants Pension reform, and is willing to push through EI reform.

A vote for the Liberals is a vote for Harper.

Come on Robert, you know Jack is licking Harper's boots right now, so save me the schpeil.
